- Anduine and Cyan

Introduction

Once upon a time, in a fairyland far faraway there lived a woodelf by the name of Haldir and his hobbitklike elfen maiden Anduine. They lived in peace and homony in among their kindreds in the golden woods of Lórien. After some time, Anduine gave birth to twin sons: Cyan and Elessar. One had Haldirs good looks, the other the stupid elven ears (guess who's who), both had the most amazing eyes..greenish-brown, changing with the mood and very mesmerizing.

One got the gift of music the other the gift of storytelling.

During the War of the Ring, that almost tore (rendered) their beautiful country apart, Elessar was being held prisoner in the dungeons of Mordor, acompanied only by his best friend Herzenbrecher. Cyan and his weird wonderful mother were transferred to Snor(e)ien (Schneverdingen if you want to find it on modern maps) in Germany. Whose fate was worse remains yet to be seen.

Over the years Elessar and his trusted companion met other friends and became very famous. But he always felt he was missing something...

Cyan, under the guidence of his weird wonderful mother and the spirit of his absent father, became a storyteller (or actor...maybe...later ;) ).

So let the tale begin......

Before the vanishing of the twins...

The little family lived happily in the golden forest of Lórien. As we all know Elessar was gifted with music, that is why Galadriel and Celeborn rulers of Lórien and godparents to the twins, gave him a magical Cello, that only he could play to perfection.

This Cello became his dearest companion, almost like a living person and he never went anywhere without it, he even took it to bed with him.

His twin Cyan had the gift of words. Many were the hours he spend writing lyrics to his brothers compositions. So great was the magic, woven by them together that everyone who listened to their songs felt refreshed and full of hope.

But this was not in the interest of Melkor and his dreadfull servant Sauron and therefor he schemed up an eeeeeevil plan to seperate the twins........

Now little pretty pouty Elessar loved to roam around the edges of Lórien to be inspired by the breathtaking scenery for his songs. Then one day the Witchking, servant to Sauron, captured him and carried him off to Barad-dür, where he was locked into the deepest dungeons to break his spirit.....

Tragic as this was and no matter how his parents grieved their son's loss - it made them aware of the danger their remaining son was in, because the victory of the Dark Lord would only be completed if both boys souls were spoiled (girls: handkerchiefs out please). Therefor with a heavy heart Aduine and Cyan parted from Haldir and left Lórien, never to return to this day, while Haldir (No he didn't die at Helms Deep!!) stayed behind guarding the gate for their return home and trying to find a way to free Elessar and Herzenbrecher the magical Cello that even the Dark Lord could not take away since part of the enchantement was, that Elessar could only part from him of his own free will, and that was not likely to happen.

Exile

While Anduine and Cyan tried to settle down in Snorien, things got worse in Middle Earth. Elessar was still being held captive in the deepest dungeon of Barad-dür. Sauron tried his utmost to twist the poor boy's soul towards evil, so he would turn into a willing servent. Thanks to his magical instrument howerver Elessar resisted the evil lord longer than Sauron anticipated. For in the meantime the little matter of the one ring claimed his entire attention. So while Saurons focus was on different matters, Haldir with the help of a befriended magican whooshed his son out of Barad- dür to saftey. Or so he thought... Because something went wrong....

Instead of reaching the safe harbour fo Snorien, where his mother and brother could have kept him from further harm, Elessar and Herzenbrecher landed in Finland in a town called Hell-sink-in, cut off from the rest of his family who might have kept him sane (or there again maybe not!!!????).

To make matters worse - because of the magical transport he suffered a severe memory loss, remembering only fragments of his past life, and those mainly being the torturous days in Barad- dür, not knowing that in the same world but faraway from him, his brother and mother were suffering with him.(This is really cracking me up!) So feeling utterly alone and being mortally wounded in his mind and soul, unable to contact the ones that were searching for him he went into hiding, until one day he met another guy, another guy with the same mysterious greenish-brown eyes he had. This was the only thing he noticed about the other one, too fast he disappeared again in the anonymous crowd of people around them and – before Elessar could even think about their seemingly random meeting - out of his sight. Elessar didnt know what to do, the only thing the other one would know was Elessars mortal name, he had scribbled it on a piece of paper just before the unknown but in some way so familiar seeming guy disappeared...

He woke up with a start .He was soaked in sweat. Had it really been just a dream? It was to vivid. It must mean something. Too shaken to go back to sleep Elessar roamed the streets of Hell-sink-in. Suddenly something caught his attention. It was a book in the display of a bookstore. Elessar felt drawn to it, couldnt keep his eyes off the cover....The Lord of the Rings. He had to have this book, he had to, but how. He ran back to his hideout, grabbed Herzenbrecher, hurried back to the store and began to play. People began to stop and crowed around the boy, playing his cello with tears streaming down his face, throwing coins into the instuments case. And then a shadow fell on Elessar and a kind voice was asking..Why are you crying like this my boy? Elessar looked up into the face of a man who seemed as gentle as his voice. Because I have lost everything. I cantt remember who I am or where I came from. My only links to my past are nightmares, my cello, that book in the window and a dream about a boy with eyes just like mine. Come with me then. I will give you a home for as long as you need it if you like and start by giving you a new name...Perttu.

Faraway in Snorien Anduine heaved a sigh. So far the little telpathic power she still posessed had worked. And she was thanking all the gods for making Juhani Kivilaakso cross Elessars way. He would be save with him and his talents would not wilt around a man who was a cellist as well. Elessar needed time to heal, both in spirt and body, but she couldnt risk in bringing the boys together, not yet. For even here in this universe Melkor was looking out for them. Elessar had everything she could give him at the moment. His cello, the book -a link to his past-, someone taking care of him and the knowledge that somewere out there someone was waitung for him.....

Out of the Darkness

The years past by and Elessar and Cyan grew into manhood.Cyan, under the guidance of his mother soaked up his peoples history and legends through his mothers tales hereby slowly developing into the bard and druid we was ment to be. He knew of course that his brother was living somewhere in Europe, but where and under what name his mother had never told him, fearing that he would forget all cautions if he knew, rushing to his brothers side and therefor risking in drawing the attention of Melkor. Because Cyan felt as well as his mother did, that although Elessar was seemingly in control of his life and from outer appearance had healed from his wounds, that was not the case. Again and again Elessar was overcome by nightmares he did not understand, ripped apart by the demons that where still hunting his soul. And allways with him were the eyes of the other and the knowledge that if he ever wanted to whole again, he had to find him. He had perfected his celloplay, pouring all his love, fear, hopes and dreams into his music. He played as if being driven by a force only he could comprehend, following a path only he could see. His covetted book was still with him, he read it over and over again, searching for the parts he knew that were missing. But his heart was yearning for Lórien and ist goldenleaved trees and Elessar was the name their were wispering to him in his dreams....Elessar, remember....Elessar, find Cyan....

In the meantime, Melkor tried to take over the world the twins very living in now, by spreading deceit, war, religious fanatism, terror and stupid politicians. Anduine felt that the time for the twins reunion was drawing near. So together with her beloved husband Haldir and the help of the familys steadfast friend, the magician Raistlin Majere she began to weave her magic.

Elessar joined a group of other cellists (and one gifted drummer) whos way of playing the cello was so different that they drew many fans from all over the world under their spell, giving Anduine and Cyan the opportunity to draw closer to Elessar unnoticed. Around the band Apocalyptica, its forming and developing grew many legends of their own - but that is another story and will be told another time. Let it be enough for now that at the heightening of this tale the band consisted of three permanent members, friendly Eicca,
cuddely Paavo and pretty pouty Perttu-Elessar. When touring they were joined by co^ol Antero and their wonderful drummer Mikko.

Melkor, not being stupid, knew of course what his life time opponents were up to, tried everything in his power to stop the reunion from happening. Still not knowing were Anduine was hiding Cyan he focused his attention on Elessar, being well aware of the fact that through the telepathic linking of the twins his malice would also work on Cyan. So once more he was sending nightmares almost driving both Elessar and Cyan insane. Merely the fact that Cyan didnt have to face them alone and knew were they came from saved their sanity - although come to think of it - thats relative; especially considering Anduines own weirdness (there Ive said it!)
Cyan found his outlet as a bard, writing down his nightmares to compensate them - Elessar composed songs that touched other people so deeply that they took some of his burdens as their own.
Seeing that, for the moment he wasnt achieving much this way Melkor tried to render the band apart. Failling in that he tried to redicule Elessar by sending fainting spell on and off stage, and causing him to go beserk while performing - killing celli. He didnt seem to succeed because Elessar posessing an endearing combination of good looks, talent, shyness and charm became everybodies darling. And although his fans were laughing about his apparent clumsyness, they also loved him for it - it had become a part of his image - and Elessar being aware of his berserker like cello-killing spells on stage kept Herzenbrecher at a safe place, using him for his compositions only.
Nevertheless Melkors continuous torture were beginning to show effects.
Elessars sanity was beginning to wear very thin But help came from an unespected corner....

Setting the Stage...

At the Far Side of the World, there lived a Hobbit by the name of Peter Jackson, who dreamed a dream of his own. He wanted to put The Lord of the Rings on screen. And he succeeded - it took him almost five years to complete the movie, but ist effects were enormous. A LOTR hysteria was spreading around the world like wildfire and nothing could stop it. People who had never read the book before were streaming to the theaters to watch the movie. Even people who were neither interested in the book nor the movie couldnt help hearing about it now. The impact it had on Elessar is hard to describe so we simply quote him here when the final DVD came out :

AYIEEE!!!!!YIPPEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!f**king h**l yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AAAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seeing Middle Earth and ist inhabitents brought to life began setting his blocked memories free. He knew that he had been a part of that story, he knew.....

...and finally during a Meet and Greet event on one of their tours, while he was knotting his bootlaces together, that somehow had come apart, he heard a voice:

Perttu, Perttu.......ELESSAR ! His head come up. And it was as if he was staring into a mirror. There he was, the one with eyes just like his own, wearing a T-Shirt with Cyan Bloodbane written on it.

There wasnt much time, because security kept moving people along. But despite all this Cyan managed to embrace his brother, wispering into his ear Check out the Forum...give Herzenbrecher my love...and this hug is from mum... (AAAAAAARRGGHHHH!!!! This is killing me)

Then they were torn apart again. But the stage was set....

Into the Light

Almost at the same time, in another country across the Atlantic the behaviour of a certain president so angered Katariina a member of the Apo Forum that she came up with the idea of creating Apoland (for more details interested readers should look up Apoland Legend..how it began) and posted that vision into the Open Section to share it. This was all Anduine, Cyan, Haldir and Raistlin had been waiting for, for magic broke loose in the creation of Apoland.

Joined by Cyan whos druid powers grew daily, AlexAl the smith weilding the magic of metal and all the Apolanders of good will, they finally came together - the 5 witches of Apoland who would be shielding the twins from now on.

One from the Land of the Free - sharing a vision, one from the land of the white cloud at the Far Side of the World - bearer of hope, one from the land of myths and legends - keeper of music, letting your spirits soar. Bound together by two kindred spirits- weavers of fairytales and shapers of dreams (Ok Apolanders you know who the witches are, figuere out whos who) Together with the help of their Forum friends they created a world that could protect the twins from Melkors wrath if only ist citizens remained faithful to their dreams....
